ITV channels on the move on Freeview

Why move ITV3 and 4 before 2? It makes no sense.

My guess? Something to do with ITV2+1 being on Ch31. C4 have just bumped E4 up there as part of their C4+1 reshuffle next to its' +1 as well.

I've done a rescan on Freeview and currently have ITV2 and ITV3 down as "no name" channels 106 and 107.

I was getting blank screens on ITV2/3/4 before doing a rescan. After rescanning I still had the ITV channels in the same positions as before, so for now there doesn't seem to be any change (for me at least).

According to some posts on this DS thread the changes was to do with the service IDs changing, so it may not be to do with new channel numbers after all.

Something has majorly cocked up from the Redruth transmitter. I was getting a blank screen on all the mux 2 channels, but all the others muxes were showing OK. Having rescanned, I now have the channel changes with C4 + 1 on 13, More 4 on 14 and E4 on 29, ,but EVERY SINGLE CHANNEL on every multiplex is now displaying a blank screen with no sound.

And just when I was going to sample the novelty of being able to watch The Simpsons at 7PM without having Sky One.

They haven't moved on two of my boxes but we have Sentana for free for some reason

Update: It suddenly fixed itself a few minutes ago. No idea what happened there. Seems the idea of ITV3 moving to channel 6 was a red herring.

If makes perfect sense that people browse the lower channel numbers - I do. Hands up everyone here who flicks one or two channels in either direction during a break.

I have to seek channels I like such as paramount and living, but I will because I enjoy them. I make appointments to view. Conversely I happen across much of the content on the first 5 or 6 channels because of where they are.

Not all aspects of the modern world are bullpoop you know.

Hopefully, when the channels do move, this is just to show people too stupid enough to read the EPG what channel their watching by being as obvious and obtrusive as possible for a few days.

Apparently idents, breakbumpers, etc aren't clear enough anymore
