At about 4 o'clock tonight, I tried to get carlton central on, but got nothing at all. I then tried channel four, again, nothing... Tried it on various tellies, but still got the same. I suspect the transmitter went down ~ are they both off the same transmitter? And did anyone else notice this??

No sorry, i didn't see this today. I have seen it go off overnight before on carlton central and channel four so i would suspect they are on the same transmitter.

nothing wrong here from the sutton coldfield transmitter - but i see you're in stafford - and i think theres a relay transmitter up in stoke (fenton or something?) - so maybe it was just that which was affected?

Ah that's what it is... I wasn't sure which transmitter it was coming off ~ I just assumed that sutton coldfield was the transmiter....
Thanks for that

Mr Live
The Sutton transmitter that broadcasts Central and Ch4 in the Midlands failed for a few minutes.

Living in Stafford and receiving Carlton Central West, you are most likely to be facing the Sutton Coldfield transmitter near Birmingham, or Fenton in west Staffordshire.
