This is all false and there are numerous reason behind what In say.

Firstly, THE BILL, why would ITV want to lose more episodes than what they do at the moment. Tuesday is literally a dead schedule most of the year, due to the fact of The Champions League football. In other words they really do have to find programme fillers when Footabll isn't on - they really can't expend The Bill as they pay far too much for it (due to competition from five for the programme at the last contract renewal). IIRC The Bill is comissioned for 100 episodes a year - if it was to move to a Tuesday night that, ITV would only be showing about 85 episodes a year!!!!!

Secondly, ITV would never put light-family drama on BEFORE a soap on Sunday evenings - they would lose too many viewers going into the soap. It would actually be the otherway round so that they could try to capture the viewers for the whole evening.

Thirdly, ITV cannot intermingle the news due to the truly independent ITV channels (STV, Ulster and Channel), unless they were paid to do it - again ITV would be losing money, rather than generating it.

Fourthly, Live talkshow BEFORE the news - are you kidding,. They always ahve been and alwyas will be AFTER the news. Here in Granadaland we have had Upfront, Granada Late and The Last Word, whilst Central had Central Weekend Live and they DO work better after the news, rather than before it.

Long running drama's (6 episodes) - I somehow doubt it as both ITV and BBC have admitted it isd actually cheaper to make longer running series!!! Also only one slot for Drama series during the week. This genre is ITV's strength and there is NO WAY that they would ever reduce the output of drama's

Where is the slot for gameshows - Family Fortunes is suppoedly coming back, with Vernon Kay, in a primetime slot - where is it???

You couldn't be bothered doing Saturday Night, mainly because you have no idea of what to put on the evening or when - just like ITV don't now hence reason that ITV Saturday does not have a very strict schedule, unlike other evenings.

So you are seriously saying you rang them up!

"Hello, ITV Duty Office"
"Hi, someone on the internet is saying that you are changing the schedules next year, putting Emmerdale on for an hour, moving Coronation Street to 8.30, is it true?"
"...."

Well thats what the duty officer is there for, to answer questions from viewers is part of their job.

However I wouldnt have bothered phoning them up as they wouldnt have known anyway relating to this.

Yes, you can very easily call them up, there's a phone number on the site - but you're right, if there were any schedule changes in the pipe line then the duty office wouldn't know anything about it.

When ITV announced that Where The Heart Is was not returning

Oh, missed that one - assuming your telling the truth!

I don't know who to trust anymore! Twisted Evil

Liars, the lot of you! Laughing

I'm definitely telling the truth. Obviously not big enough news for the likes of MediaGuardian, but it's on Digital Spy.

Quote:
Long-running Sunday night drama Where The Heart Is has been axed after 10 years on screen.

An ITV spokeswoman said: "Where The Heart Is has been a very successful series for ITV1. But the decision has been taken in order to create some flexibility for new programme ideas in that 8pm Sunday slot alongside Heartbeat, The Royal and Wild At Heart."
