This has also been used in the Meridian Region for some time and I have also noticed it on ITV1 Wales or HTV Wales as it still should be known.

I would imagine it will come in on all the Regions eventually.

It's not on Border and I didn't see it on Tyne Tees either.

Do any GMG North regions use it?

GMG North don't use it, the regions which are transmitted from LNN and Carlton Central have it, but GMG North doesn't have it as they apparently don't have the technology to play out such a shorth piece of tape apparently.

That PROBABLY (but NOT definitely) means that Central transmission has moved to LNN today.

Which in turn would PROBABLY (but NOT definitely) mean that Leeds are now sufficiently up-to-speed to act as the standby transmission site for the South Bank, thus allowing Birmingham to be closed down and dispensed with.

So I suppose this really is the end of an era where regional ITV stations play out and are responsible for their own transmission.

Is anyone else slightly concerned by this?

Only in terms of job losses

Otherwise, no. It cuts down on the duplication of services, makes everything a bit more efficient

I hope ITV finally (like the BBC) manages to get all the regional weather and news programmes using some sort of corporate look, rather than this mess we have today.

Once ITV has to it's pres and corporate brand sorted out, they can work on some decent programming.
