They'll probably forget most of Ray Monk's output yet he and David Pringle created some of the best ITV light entertainment themes.

A documentary called Here is the News is being shown on ITV from next Tuesday, the 22nd of September, at 10:40pm. It is about the creation of the ITN News brand over the past 60 years which includes the launch of News at Ten and Channel 4 News.

That will certainly be a good watch for next week including the doc covering the ITV Theme Tunes tomorrow night. Smile

There was a funny moment from Alistair Stewart before the last break where he mentioned that he was on the train going to work to ITV; some passengers would go bong towards him and he said it gets to him every time he is on his way to work.

I thought that was hilarious though in fairness. Laughing

Very enjoyable, One has to wonder if there will be a commercial release of this chat.

Some heavy Harry Potter style copyright on the clips of Downton Abbey, had to be on screen throughout whenever they showed a clip not just at the start.

A nice run down memory lane and a lot better than what the usual haters were expecting.

That was a LOT better than expected. No celebrity talking heads, old TV at the top of the list, and acknowledgement of regional ITV!
