UTV had a version of their 1993 ident they played at 9.25 each morning which animated as normal, but instead of the UTV logo at the end, it zoomed out to read "is YOUR TV".
Then when they ditched having live daytime continuity c.1997/1998, the 9.25 ident was pre-recorded by their trailer voiceover man Michael Henderson.
I think Grampian just used the generic ITV ident with the St Andrew's cross in place. Trying to remember when they got rid of the morning religious slot " First Thing"....
Anglia TV used to have a really boring view a statue of their logo (a Knight on a horse) turning round and round for about five minutes.
Having that after the 5 minutes of a long winded disclaimer about Sesame Street (never sussed out exactly what it said) made it even more boring. Eventually they'd get their act together and put Tiswas on
I don't think most Regions had the time for a long start up, as most days it would be like this....
9.24:59am TV-am/GMTV Closedown
9.25:00am Ident or Start-Up Announcement
9:25:15am Promos for The Time The Place and This Morning
9:25:45am ...first programme
Same with today, Jeremy Kyle probably starts about 15 seconds after GMTV shuts off.
