Does anybody know why ITV 4 is on channel 81 this evening on Freeview. Channel 30 still has the 'programmes start at 6pm' message.
Has is got anything to do with Sky not giving it a slot until next week? Is ITV News still on Sky, or is what is supposed to be ITV News broadcasting ITV 4?

doubt if freeview viewers will lose itv news because when itvkids launches, it has been rumoured to be either on itv4 or a new channel in the 70's

It has nothing to do with Sky, probably just a technical problem by ITV/ Your Local Transmitter/ Your Freeview box, as ITV4 and News share the same channel.

Just couldn't help but notice this morning on ITV4 at around 6.15am on the NTL feed (NTL take the DTT feed) that it was constantly flicking between a blank screen and ITV News, again probably just an error.

Can't say there's much I like on ITV4 other than the Football, plus Crank Yankers looks like one to watch, otherwise it's not to my taste, each to their own.

Both ITV4 and ITV NC are still available on DSat for their full transmission hours (ie 24/7 for NC and 1800-0600 for ITV4).

I notice from DigitalSpy that all ITV channels are now available even if you take the Sky card out......including ITV4 (using "Other Channels"). Strangely mine kept it's BBC/ITV1 regional options and didn't revert to BBC1 London and ITV Central West which have been mentioned either on this forum or on DigitalSpy as the defaults. Confused:

I am beginning to think that it will get to the point where there will be so may FTA channels (like in continental Europe) that I don't actually need to pay out £36 a month to Sky and I can just convert to "FreeSat from Sky".

Lovely UEFA Cup graphics. Used the UEFA Cup purple corporate colour really well. Nice to see some good graphics on ITV for a change.

And how come they are airing Department S, and the Saint. They are good male programmes, but they would fit onto ITV3, or MM. Interesting.

As I've said before - all ITV4 programming could fit quite comfortably into the ITV2/3 schedules!

Also disapointing that apart from sport, ITV4 doesn't appear to have any original programming. It's all imports and "classics".

P.S. Unless I've missed it, anyone got caps of an ECP / In-programme pointer?

Well if you read places like uk.media.tv.misc which seems to have a lot of stereotypical men, or look in the TV listings of men's weekly magazines, you'll see this is all they rave about. Constantly complaining that US Import X is on at 3am on Channel 4, or that generic programme with fast cars has had some scenes taken out, etc
