ITV 4

i do like the several mpixel pictures that are squashed down on that page. all very fab and profresisonal.

First ident was awful - and unlike many here, I don't see anything special in the preview caps of the others!




It's Sky acting like a spoiled brat (and OFCOM like an incapable teacher!). ITV have the EPG slot for ITV4 (120), they have the space to broadcast it from (it's available via Other Channels), but Sky aren't willing to do whatever is required to get it on air!

Sky seem to get away with everything - C4 wanted More4 to be available free to non-Sky customers, but Sky decided to encrypt it and C4 seem unable to stop them!

Well ,all we have seen so far is one ident, two promos and that break bumper.

Did they have to put that trailer inbetween the end of the countdown and the ident? I'd rather have just the countdown,the ident and the show.

ITV4 have just used their clouds/face ident before Kojak. It was nice, but it didnt have long enough to develop, does anyone else think they might be using shortened versions of the idents? They could do with being a bit more dramatic, some strong music might help. A bit wishy-washy so far IMO.

Has anybody got a video of the ident.

I'm surprised anybody was expecting anything else from ITV4. It wasn't going to be like ITV2 because that was milestone for ITV. Their first ever digital channel. Now of course it's the norm for digital channels to be launched every so often. The launch was quiet but looks like it went smoothly. I quite like the idents. At least they're something different. We're used to the logo taking up the whole screen whereas these are more inventive.

I quite liked the city/space invaders ident, seemed longer than the others. Maybe there are long and short versions.

I have just turned back over to ITV4 (waiting for The Sopranos to start on More 4, whats with the number 4 these days lol, I guess Sky four is next, that would actually work without any odd looking letters lol)

I am surprised and glad to see the ITV4 dog still top right. I was expecting some more captures of any ECPs, Coming Next DOGs, etc.

Does anyone have access to ITV press materials. If there are any brochures for ITV4 in PDF, could you pass them on, they may have info on what font they use...

Good news - Dave Letterman is back!
Bad News - But not in widescreen!

All I can say is, thank god Letterman's back. We've now got 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'. If only someone would put on 'Real Time with Bill Maher' I'd be a happy man.
