ITV 4

An ITV4 promo just aired with an ITV4 DOG, and this as an endcap:

Thats been showing for quite some time. It looks very clean and sharp.

I'm presuming this was either on ITV1 or on Freeview Channel 30? The tests on Sky Digital are now just a blank screen - not even M&M is showing on there (as was the case yesterday). I suspect that Sky viewers will not be able to see launch night through the "Add Channels" function after all

Just noticed in the cap that they describe Kojak as a "UKTV premier" (rather than "UK TV premier"). A nice bit of accidental promotion for BBC/Flextech

The tests on satellite start at 6pm each day - see if they are still there after then.

Over on DS, a few people have reported seeing an advert this afternoon that claims ITV4 will be on Sky channel 136.

Has anyone here seen that advert?

If so, maybe the final GSB channel is about to close...

EDIT: Just seen the launch night advert, "satellite 136"...

I suspect the "fudge" ITV plc have come up with is to suspend M&M until 7th November, thereby allowing ITV4 to launch using M&M's frequency & EPG slot, then change to EPG 120 on 7/11 and restore M&M (maybe ) . A very confusing and sloppy way to launch!

ITV1 (Granada) at about 16:05.

Wash your mouth out with soap Chris, "ITV1 (Granada)" is a blasphemous euphamism! You will give Charles Allen a heart-attack saying things like that - it's just ITV1 - lol

No doubt they will slap another trailer in between this evening's soaps to get the best coverage. ITV4 will move to 120 on 7/11 because it's already in all the listings mags, if would be a marketing disaster to keep it on 136!

The TV Announcer (just before ITV News) announced that ITV4 will launch on November 1st on sky channel 136.

So it looks like M&M is to disappear either temporary or permanent

Any explanations on Men & Motors yet? They are going to tell M & M viewers aren't they?

They didn't tell Plus viewers. If they do decide to pull M&M, why should this be any different?
