ITV 4

As posted in the tempory forum, ITV are planning to launch their newest channel, ITV 4, with a budget rumoured to exceed 15million, for imports of American programmes.
The channel shall be aimed at young males and will offer an alternative to the "other" entertainment channel ITV 2, with more "after sun" type programmes been made available.
The design agency Brand Republic have also hinted that the channel will contain explicit content in the evenings.
Digital Spy have more on the figures, but this is the first official statement, TMK that ITV 4 will launch.

15 million? They're really pushing the boat out aren't they?
Considering E4's budget, I doubt ITV4 will be much of a rival.

i dont think ITV are trying to become a market-leader with ITV4. They have won their battle with Sky One with ITV2. I think they have the higher ground now with multi-channel tv offerings
