Itv3 Has failed why, you must be thinking what rubbish this guy is writing now…
ITV3 was suppose to show high class drama & in some ways it has like frost, buds of May, jewel in the crown. But is that all were going to get of them
Here a question for you to wonder… what happen to ALL the one of drama ITV has done over the years not one of them has been shown on ITV3( to my knowledge) ITV has Hugh back log of show it could present to us but there don’t.

At least when it was G plus, there had on the buses (even the B&W one),tagget, and the army game, and of half the comedy’s ITV did and the BBC. But since there went half the things went to UK drama / gold. But that still leaves a lot of the old back catalog still not beening used. Have you seen ITV3 daytime it got LA law 3 times? ITV3 can easily DO better. Come on ITV why don’t you show us more one of old dramas?

I hope Hugh manages to cleared his backlog. By the way, which Hugh is it; Laurie? Very Happy

ITV3 is incredibly cheap for ITV to run compared to other channels since it's 100% archive. I wouldn't say that it has failed.

ITV need to be able to justify to advertisers their slowly diminishing audience share and by pointing to the fact that their 5 or 6 (when ITV4) channels get a combined audience share of 20.7% (1) in July.

ITV3 makes up 1.2% of this, making it the 12th most popular channel in the UK (2).

ITV3 isn't dying, but you do raise a fair point. Whilst I abhor the drama-by-numbers "get an ex-soap star to pull the punters" type efforts ITV have been putting out in recent years, ITV does have a rich heritage of single dramas which could be put to good use.

Having said all that, ITV3 have repeated some good older programming, to their credit. More would be appreciated though, and less endless Frost/Morse/etc.

Just about understand the first post - but "failed" is too harsh a word - but it could be better!

One of the big selling points of ITV Drama is there Drama Premieres, but most only get one airing - while a film (eg Bond) will be repeated year after year.

Along with ones from the archive, ITV3 should be doing quick turnaround repeats of current dramas on ITV1.

Plus showed the likes of Tommy Cooper, Brian Conley, Bullseye, An Audience With...(which is actually shown occasionally, but not enough) and they say PLUS has changed, I said CHANGED to ITV3. I can't find those shows!

have you seen ANY of the itv one off drama since there where First shown on ITV , the anwers is NO

half the show that should be on this channel are not, and are lying in a dustay vault some where plus BOL I0X and Brekkie Boy have giving a anwers to this question.
I haven't seen beeny hill, Brian Conley, and other show.
even if ITV showed everyone of the one of drama there made, one per day it would probaly take over 3 years to get right thourgh the whole collection

A thousand one-off drama programmes in the vaults?

I hardly think so.

Ive hardly watched ITV3 since it launched if im honest, there just isnt much on there I like to watch.

I wish ITV3 would bring back the Classic Corrie repeats that Plus showed, maybe picking up from 1970, after watching the DVD Box Set I want more classic Corrie.
