ITV 2020 - Presentation refresh

Just saw an ITV Meridian screen during an ad break just now.

Yeah I was watching on the ITV Hub and saw the National ITV News holding slide.

I thought an important Newsflash was incoming in the middle of an ad break.

This is how it went out on ITV HD (London), just a brief interruption. (If the video looks juddery I'm not sure why)

That definitely gave me Category 1 death vibes...

That didn't happen on ITV Yorkshire HD, the Bulb advert continued as did the rest of the adverts, however after the ITV break bumper there was a short half a second where Lorraine/Christine could be seen before going into an ITV Hub promo

"This is ITV News from London"

That is one phrase you will not here on ITV. The BBC of course had the terrifying "This is BBC Television from London" when Princess Diana died, but ITV News would never be that pompous and dramatic.

That’s the kind of announcement that would send chills down the spine.

Maybe they would if someone like the queen or serving prime minister died. A death of that magnitude is something ITV have literally never faced.

And sure he referred to it in previous link as there's drama from Chigwell in Birds of a Feathr next.

Drama?!

The closest was when the Queen Mother died.

There was Kennedy in 1963?

Something arguably that ITV handled with more reverence than the Beeb?
