As for the fourth ident aired before You've Been Framed, did anyone else find the audio seemed to be getting clipped during the announcement (this was on ITV HD)?
I'm recording from satellite and finding a lot of crackling/interference on the audio on the fourth ident. I appreciate the audio track (on 3 especially) has a sort of scratched-vinyl effect, but this seems bad on 4.

Yep it's definitely the booth, it just crackled during the ECP out of You've Been Framed.
Hmmm...not sure about the endboard, there's a lot going on and it's quite blocky. I still think the surrounding presentation of 2013 was the best. Simple, stylish, with a nice animation.

The lower third credits was wishful thinking then, so that's a shame. I like to think the rules have been relaxed on black credits but I bet not.
The idents are obviously going to be the highlight over the next year. No doubt some will be better than others but it'll be interesting to see the variations. Nice of them to give Pug one final outing in full. It was probably the most recognisable ident, especially given Ant & Dec's spoof early on.
At least they gave mention to the rebrand during ths Pugwash ident unlike what they did during the Sunflowers ident before the 2013 rebrand.
It is great to see ITV actually doing something inventive with their logo, rather than just slap it on some background film, which has been the case since 2003.
I must say and this might be a really unpopular opinion but I really think the presentation introduced today looks awful. It’s a massive step down from what they had, I wouldn’t say it has improved anything, it has gone from being slick to very ‘mock-like’. This weeks idents idents look awful and don’t reflect the channels programming, I don’t really think the last set did either but they looked visually pleasing. I get a crime channel vibe from what I have seen on screen so far - if this were are a mock I’d say 4/10! I’m hoping that in the coming few weeks things will have improved slightly!
