Very true Brekkie. The concept of this week’s is good, but the presentation of the art work could be improved.

The bulb and creation reminded me of the ‘Bang Goes The Theory’ BBC One ident from the days of creativity and jingles on the main channel:

According to Broadcast this is the first of five consecutive weeks that will feature idents from students or junior advertising creatives.

Here are details of the next 5 weeks.

Are they paying for any of these, or just expecting the viewers to do them for free?

They're not viewers.... well some probably do watch ITV, but that's not the capacity to which they are involved.

I would assume the artists get some sort of fee

Not seen that one before - no reason that couldn't have remained in circulation really. Actually shows how you do ambient sound so much better than Oneness.

It makes you wonder if the oneness set could have worked better in a similar way with a logo created to be part of the scene and a musical score arranged to suit each scene.

Wait, I thought you'd approve of broadcasters getting branding done on the cheap? Confused

A fair day's work for a fair day's pay. Not for free, and not for the high amounts the BBC would pay.

How much is that?

Any thoughts on what they'll do on December 30th? They'll have run all 52 ITV Creates ident packages at that point. I see four possibilities:

They loop again, so we see week 1 again - which only ran for 6 days the first time, not 7 like the rest.
They shuffle them around, so any of the 52 could appear at any junction.
They use the breakbumper loop.
Full relaunch.

I like the idea of them being shuffled around to appear at any junction, as there were some genuinely decent idents amongst the pile of duds. Either that or a full relaunch would work for me.

December 30th is a Monday, right? I'd assume that they'd just continue the last week's idents for those last two days, then roll out whatever's next on January 1st.
