That Mark Titchner ident would've been a good one for the BRITs this week since he did all that on a speaker.
Given that it's a powder themed speaker, and the fact that BRITs is an event relating to music and that speakers play music. It certainly would suit well as a one-off in the day of the BRITs.
Would’ve been a quite nice idea to have some of the old idents on the screens, colour co-ordinated like the ones being used now. Probably just me though.
Also I know they replied with something silly, fair enough for 1 reply to tell them that - but there’s no need to be so sarky after that; they’re a new member. They probably just wanted to contribute to the conversation.
So next time I get outbid for a monitor on eBay, I know who to blame!
I actually quite like this week's though. As mentioned it's a very simplistic one, however having moving images playing on the screens means it's one of those that seems to work better in video form on idents than some of the 'static' pieces have. Also as the screens generate their own light, it's allowing them to mix up the surrounding light source a bit more creatively than they have for some of the other weeks.
I have high hopes for this one as its the first one since week 1 where there's more scope to do a bit more than just pan a camera around. Although the only thing bugging me a bit from the 6am ident broadcast is the way the shades of white lighting keep changing slightly. I'm sure it's deliberate as from some of the other previews it looks like they'll be changing light patterns more dramatically in some. But on this one it makes it look like it's been shot on a cheap camera which couldn't keep its white-balance consistent!
Probably one of my favourites, really pretty good.
I also agree with what others have said about them dropping the interview, it was probably more trouble than it was worth for them and also I think that it gives more time to actually see the ident which I like.
