I sound silly here, but there are 52 artists, each artist showcased for 7 days. 52 * 7 is 364, leaving 1 day out. What's going to happen on that one day?
They’ve kept the ident at 6pm, although I can imagine that being unnecessary workload for the regions to deal with every Monday. Whether it lasts all year is a question.

Perhaps whatever replaces Project 52 will debut on 31st December 2019?
Like many others here, I assume that the next few years after Project 52 will use a mixed rotation of some/all of this year's idents as the regular set.
They are running Monday - Sunday as one of the artists mentioned somewhere when their week was.
I wonder if during the 52 weeks any will slip out when they shouldn't. If they are all sat on a server somewhere I guess there always may be that possibility.
While I do agree, you have to bear in mind that with him being the first artist up, there'll have been a lot of talk of the new idents at first, which will have died down considerably by the time you get into double figures of weeks into the year (if not well before).
In terms of exposure, therefore, he'll likely do a lot better out of it than Sally Surname who does week thirty-seven.
As much as I hate Oneness over on BBC One at least the presentation is consistant in the regions.
That's why most of us would like an itv Northern Ireland brand so we can be consistant with the network.
utv never have had great presentation since 2000 so it really would be nice to see it streamlined with the network. But alas, we've got to wait at least a year for that possibility now.
I’m not entirely sure that is what most people here want.
When you consider how many times the axing of regional idents 17 years ago gets brought up and now ITV PLC are always seen to be big bad bullies destroying regional identity.
Nail on the head. You simply can't please this forum

I understand why they are frustrated but I can also understand why itv had to do it.
They'll come a day when itv will probably lose its name when it's bought over by something bigger one day.
