Having seeing ITV's new branding for a day now, I have to say the idents are impressive. Shame they're only staying for a week.
As for the Cut Out Card presentation they've gone for, (This opinion will be very unpopular..) I actually quite like it. Sure it's not as good as the 2013 branding, in fact I still wish they'd bring back the 2013 ECP and End-Trailer boards. But this new identity is better than the 2017 plain white end-trailer boards.
I reckon after this year all idents made will go into general rotation - the production values are too good to be used just for a week. They could then run for several years.

2020 could see the best of the 2019 52 sets being used for the branding.
Yeah. I'd say three years, because by then the old ones will have run on UTV for just as long as in England and Wales.
I'm not sure that's how rebranding/new idents would be planned out.

UTV wouldn't be at the front of their minds.
As much as I hate Oneness over on BBC One at least the presentation is consistant in the regions.
That's why most of us would like an itv Northern Ireland brand so we can be consistant with the network.
utv never have had great presentation since 2000 so it really would be nice to see it streamlined with the network. But alas, we've got to wait at least a year for that possibility now.

I’m not entirely sure that is what most people here want.
When you consider how many times the axing of regional idents 17 years ago gets brought up and now ITV PLC are always seen to be big bad bullies destroying regional identity.
I sound silly here, but there are 52 artists, each artist showcased for 7 days. 52 * 7 is 364, leaving 1 day out. What's going to happen on that one day?
