Having had a look through all of the breakbumpers used today, there’s a good range of colours which will help to keep the set fresh. I really like the ‘cut out’ concept and the animations, it’s a very unique idea. The breakbumpers and endboards look fantastic on screen in my opinion. The ECPs and full screen menus are a little messy, but the idea is good.
I'm in agreement that they've lost some consistency. Five years ago the entire family had a unified, solid brand. What they've now done has muddied the water.

ITV Weather retained the 5 part logo. What about the ITV Studios end board on the soaps tonight?
No change to ITV Studios logo.
I guess its only ITV the channel which now uses 3 segments instead of 5 as all other uses of the ITV logo still use 5 segments.
Also doesn't seem like we're ever going to see the back of the black end credits! I really hoped this refresh would finally allow shows to have a bit of creativity with the credits, but the two soaps didn't have anything different.

I wouldn't even mind if it was just the more iconic shows had unique credits, the soaps, DOI, X factor, big dramas etc.
What I really don't understand is why have the odd shows been allowed to change them, such as Broadchurch?
I must be one of the few people that prefers the standardised black credits. The new graphics over the credits are already quite full on, a squished up view of some cobbles in addition would look a bit of a mess.
My feeling is why is this only for one year. In 2020 are we going to revert back to the 2013-2018 idents once again, or is there a bigger relaunch planned for January 1st 2020?
I feel they will either use a selection, or have a refreshed look based on the cut out cards.
