It wasn’t used at the end of Emmerdale either (and there was no change to the one used at the end of Tonight either)

It only appeared at the end of This Morning so perhaps they used it early.


It's not unusual for pre-recorded shows TX-ed after a branding change, but delivered before the change, to use the old logo when stations rebrand.

As a result, live shows are usually the first to change.


The other live shows didn't use the new logo either.

Nope, just that two versions are available - known as ‘chalk’ and ‘slate’ respectively.

And another one was lazy enough to just use breakbumper footage on a tablet for the logo.


It's still varied and different to other channels at the moment. It doesn't matter that we will be seeing the 1980's ITV logo again, if that is what it is meant to represent. Some regions did not really see a lot of it in the 1980's anyway due to the regional idents/logos taking centre stage. It was probably seen more on Channel 4 in between junctions and on ITV Schools on Channel 4. It'll be great to see it back again!!


Looking forward to seeing these refreshed, rejuvenated idents on Monday. Interesting ITV have gone with shaky footage akin to the recent Martin Parr inspired popular BBC1 idents.

That doesn't make sense, because then it should also have had the old ITV Studios logo. The Albert logo changed last year.
