ITV 2019 idents and presentation - ITV Creates

Week 51: Melanie Tomlinson

Look a lot nicer if they hadn't taken the 'lid' of the 'V'.

That's a sentence I don't get to say very often.

Still a scandal we've not seen anything from Neil Buchanan.

Only because he insists on standing on set and opening his arms in every birds eye view shot.

Does anyone know what is happening with ITV's idents in the New Year? Are we having new idents in a similar vein to these ITV Creates ones, are they being repeated or mixed up for every junction? Or are we going back to the classic ITV Pugwash idents??

ITV creates is continuing is it not?

It is continuing in 2020.

Brilliant idea "try it yourself".

I think this weeks look really very good. I like it a lot - it's like 3D wrapping paper with the ITV logo in the middle.



I see there is a 'lid-less' version (thanks to TV Home). Very nice.



STV is starting to look quite cold and a bit dated with it's completely blue colour scheme.

I'm hoping for 2020, they introduce some more variations of the music, it was lovely to hear the Christmas variations.

This week's is very good and really festive. The really powerful thing about these is that they are models that are physically built and it's really refreshing to look at as opposed to computer generated stuff.

There's something very 90s about these.

Like all good art they divide opinion, I don’t particularly get a festive feeling from these idents, although the music helps. Last weeks will be hard to top in the weeks and months to come.
