I notice the announcers on YTV and I assume the other GMG North Stations are calling it ITV1 all the time rather than Yorkshire etc. I also agree the ident they are using is terribly boring. I hope all this is just filling time before new idents and better continuity are introduced .

Goal Rush grabs going on my website right now, I'm working feverishly to upload all this new content. Stick with me throughout the night and more images will be added from ITV Sport Channel too, which launched at 5:30pm. It launched with a clock, counting down the seconds, a bit like the old ITV Schools programmes clock with the seconds disappearing.
What do people think of the goal rush. I saw the first half and it looks good. It's simular to Football first
just deked out to look like ITV sports channel from what i've seen on the set in imagesd in another post. Started up with the ITV sport sting and the first chance to see the Coca Cola sponcerships ads. the onscreen draphics are simular to Football Firs but in ITV bule and Yellow and silver frames. Ihaven't go widescreen so i coldb't see the frame around it. The space for the presenter is less than BCC because of this and the score ticker seems larger
Yorkshire are using a standard 'spinning hearts' ident at the moment, So at least that means Yorkshire ITV1 now has at least 2 ITV1 idents.
Which is one more than they had in use Yesterday!!
Maggie the continuity announcer is on tonight and as usual she doesn't mention any channel name ITV1, Yorkshire or otherwise.
I don't like those blue stripes on the new endboards by the way, hopefully with the new season, new promo endboards may appear in September?

Are the announcers generic? Or is it one announcer per region or corporation (GMG, Carlton etc)?
Channel ITV has the same announcer as Meridian. On a recent trip to the HTV West region they had the same announcer as Meridian so I would presume they share the same announcer. Channel do have one but not very often.
I've only heard it once on Carlton Central also (9:25 - SM:tv Live) when the announcer said 'This is Carlton - part of ITV1.'

I haven't heard the word 'Yorkshire' today. It just seems to be ITV1, according to the announcer.

Yorkshire`s two announcers today have been their two who have been with them for years and never use the station name unless they have to.

was heard? 9.25am on the first day of the changeover, by any chance?!
Also, referring to an earlier posting, why on earth should LWT 'have' to change the colours of its symbol, just to fit in with the generic itv look? As far as I can tell from what I've seen on the Internet, the original itv hearts LWT idents were fine with LWT in red white and blue. But I don't blame LWT from trying to be more original by creating their own variation of the hearts theme with the videowall. It puts them on a level higher than the rest of the itv hearts rubbish.
