ITV 1 is launched

I think the Carlton idents and background are rather better than all of the others.
I don't want any ITV regions to 'match'.

Carlton have failed to revise this article to reflect the new ITV1 name!

Note also that wheras the Carlton Central website no longer exists (and hasn't for some time) because it's content has 'been built into Carlton.com', Carlton Westcountry have been given a NEW website of their own!

Also the HTV websites are still in the style given to them in their United News & Media days! I don't expect them to be fully Carltonised, as the HTV name has been retained, but I thought that Carlton would have put something of their own design into the sites!

Carlton are crap!

Not sure about HTV... looks a bit - badly put together.

Carlton do - and it looks a lot better than the HTV variant!

I do think that the addition of the '1' enhances the itv logo somewhat, I like the ITV1 dog, looks very effective.  They have added the 1 to the existing idents quite well.  In Yorkshire we got lines, and the hearts music played in the background, although it wasn't the start of the music.
