It looks like all of Granada's 5 extra break-bumpers have been dropped, as here on Yorkshire we had the 'splash' one. Its usually red and black spinner on a Saturday.
After SM:TV Live, we saw a introductory advert to ITV1, Notice all the pictures are from the Autumn 2000 new season advert!.
After the break, was an advert for Tonight's programmes, notice that the programme captions still had the steamy hearts going up, even though these are no longer part of the endboard.
Now it was time for a very strange ident.
It was the 'lines' ident, but with the 'Spinning Hearts' music.
It was branded Yorkshire ITV1, and the announcer didn't mention any channel name

I'm a bit dissapointed that there arn't any new Idents or anything, but I do like the programme promos with that end board! I agree about the grey though.
That ITV promo popped up and I thought 'Oh my god, it's a new ident' Like a '1' and 'Meridian' was going to fly in or something. Oh well. I'll try and get that today. My VCR wasn't too quick.
I personally think that wavy endcap is horrible. Did they pay the people that made the smoky hearts too much or something? Cutbacks?
Saw the ITV promo, but it wasn't shown in Carlton regions, only Granada ones.
I think it looks quite neat actually - and finally Granada have dropped the music from the hearts ident! It's just the animated lines with no music - and a too large ITV 1 logo.
It makes the ITV logo look a little more interesting. Shame about the break bumpers going though.
I can't say I'm expecting these idents to last though. Give them a few weeks and they'll release new ones...

Got to say I like the end boards! I thought I wouldn't but I do.
Now, at last, ITV can be regarded as a 'family' of channels.
Now all they need is a radio service and they're the BBC!
Although I'm not sure ITV Radio would really work!
I've not seen any branded trailers with those steaming heart style things at the end - but the little DOG they were using - wouldn't surprise me if that makes a permanent appearence soon enough. Perhaps when ITV goes on Sky.
