ITV 1 is launched

I didn't stay up all night, but saw ITV Night Time from about 05:30, at which time the ITV Morning News was intoduced with an ITV ident.

So, was ITV Night Time looking the same as ever until 05:59, and only then was ITV1 launched, just in time to hand over to GMTV?

The break bumper at the break of SM:TV live had the heart and the word ITV1 (Carlton Central and Yorkshire)

In the HTV Wales region, we didn't have a break bumper at all! Let alone an ITV1 one.

What's That About!?

Anyway, Just under an hour to go until all is revealed.

We had the same on Carlton Westcountry. (ITV1 break bumper,I'll capture it next time)

Just seen the new trailer end
it don't look too bad

Carlton have exactly the same ident's only with the 1 added on the end. Announcer said 'This is Carlton, Part of ITV1'

On ANGLIA after SM:TV live, we had a promo for the new ITV services and viewers were informed that 'the channel you're watching now is called ITV1' then we had a generic promo of programmes coming up later with ITV1 in the corner. Then we had the ident with ITV1 written below ANGLIA. The other difference was that the music was different. Same piece of music but it was played by a piano.

Channel ITV , ITV promotions all branded ITV 1, no bumper breaks but we have never had them anyway and the same old Channel ITV ident with no ITV branding just voice over 'Channel Television - ITV for the Channel Islands'.

Strange thing though. Channel ITV regional programme promotion now has no ITV branding just Channel Television.......

Why no ITV branding ?????????????????

As expected no change to Scottish and Grampian tv.

I suppose the end board OK. I think they grey background needs changing or is it jus me. The grey might grow on me.
