No! The BBC powercut caused about 100 post in about 10 minutes.

Oh, right. I wasn't registered on TV Home when this happened.

Sorry, I've just realised that it sounded a little harsh. There should have been a ! after the no.

I am being friendly. Honest Smile

Coming back to an earlier point about why there is no ITV 1 News... I too wasn't expecting such a change.
The best comparison, indeed the only comparison, to another channel we can make is BBC One.
You never hear 'Now the BBC One 6 O'clock News', it's the 'BBC News at 6 O'clock'.
ITV aren't going to go overboard with this branding!

Don't worry! I wasn't offended! I just thought that 100 posts was a lot compared to other threads and it might be a record. That's all!

Peace and Love,

I've just realised, it's 1 month tomorrow that I've been on these boards. And I've already done nearly 450 posts!

I'm sure it's been more than a month though. Well, time flies when you're having fun as they say!

You've been on the boards 4 months, at the rate I'm going, I'll be at 1800 in 4 months!

You've got more posts than Asa haven't you?

I haven't heard the word 'ITV1' from the announcer all day on Meridian...and long may it continue.
Similarly, when was the last time 'This is Carlton - broadcasting in the Central region' was heard? 9.25am on the first day of the changeover, by any chance?!

Also, referring to an earlier posting, why on earth should LWT 'have' to change the colours of its symbol, just to fit in with the generic itv look? As far as I can tell from what I've seen on the Internet, the original itv hearts LWT idents were fine with LWT in red white and blue. But I don't blame LWT from trying to be more original by creating their own variation of the hearts theme with the videowall. It puts them on a level higher than the rest of the itv hearts rubbish.

How did LWT manage to get away with making their own ident, yet the rest of the GMG companies are stuck with this blue hearts nonsense!

I think it's stupid all ITV companies not looking the same in their idents.

We all expected Scottish, Grampian and UTV to not change at all today. We've had confirmation (somewhere in this forum) that Scot and Gramp indeed are unchanged.

Can anyone confirm the situation with UTV please?

No change to UTV in its own idents, trailers, break bumpers etc - no ITV generic logos or hearts at all -  though we did get to see the ITV1 logo's offical debut at 5:59:50am this morning when UTV took generic continuity. (Presumably we also caught its 'unoffical' debut earlier in the night when ITV Nightime used it by mistake before an earlier programme).

Still the situation then.

What's the point of the rebranding when you have got companies like Scottish, Grampian and UTV saying they don't to be known as ITV companies.
