ITV 1 idents

You sometimes get companies doing it at 6pm, in time for the new regional news programme.

Let's just hope!!

I definately remember the new YTV idents, rotating 3D launching on a Friday at 7pm.

BBC ONE's Christmas idents were launched at 7pm a couple of days early last year when they're normally launched in the morning.

BTW: How about replacing the hearts with '1's? Here's a gareish version of Meridian!!

Nice design, but I don't like that idea at all, it reminds me of the Yorkshire Television Channel 3 nonsense. They had '3's' flying around in the background. What a rebranding disaster that was.

So let me get something straight...

ITV is having a revamp of its presentation right?

so after only 1 month the current HTV Wales/Carlton idents are to be scrapped???

HTV Branding has all but dissapeared from its presentation..so can i expect brand new spanking idents on my tv on Aug 11th??

I hope so as the current HTV Idents are driving my nuts after only a few weeks!!!

I doubt the Carlton*-run areas will change their idents - they seem to quite like them. they may just add the one to their ITV logo

The more I look at my Meridian creation the more I hate it! I'm sorry I killed everyone's eyesight with that!!

LOL. We've had to put up with them for two years !!

I quite like the HTV/Carlton hybrids.

And getting rid of them after 42 days?!

Surely that must be a record breaker for world's shortest ident!

I've never seen these idents - what are they like? Does anyone have a screenshot?

You'd all whinge if ITV came up with something like this (imagining that BBC One hadn't originally that is):

because it's dull. So why do so many of you like it? Does it lose it's appeal without the BBC logo on it?

I think I'd still like it on ITV - but ITV change their idents too frequently - LWT changed theirs 3 times in 1999! But the beeb tend to do it on a decadial basis, so the viewers tend to grow to like the contempory set of idents
