I do believe it was Chaz.

I think it was a lady in a sweater. Or a sweaty lady. I forget.

Oh yeah! Sorry bout that i was wrong. There wasn't a democratic vote when Chaz was elected. And anything before 2005 is a mystery to me.

It was MrTomServo who was elected democratically. Every other mod - myself included - has been appointed by Asa.

I was just thinking about TVF's history - didn't Katherine moderate for a while? It might have been while I was on holiday one year. Or am I dreaming that?

Be truthful - everything before 7pm yesterday is clouded in a haze of mystery Wink

Katherine moderated for about a day before it was quickly realised she wasn't right for the job. She was very...trigger happy I think!

I remember the 'Fourth Mod' elections, hard to believe that they were going on about this time five years ago. Katherine, still fresh from her brief moment of power, received a surprise amount of nominations in the first stage which terrified many!

That was the lady in the sweater I was referring to. It had a weather forecaster knitted on it and she had a crush on an owl.

If memory serves.

She gave value.

I wasn't around when this happened in 2003. How amusing to see people jostling for what is no doubt an onerous and time consuming task.

It's been barely 6 hours since Rob's resignation, but I wonder how long before the back-stabbing and bitching of the campaign trail starts. Calm down!

By all accounts it's probably just up to Asa, Charlie and Ison at he end of the day, not the board members.

I've not heard what Asa plans to do and ultimately it's up to him what happens. However in my opinion 'mod elections' can easily turn into a popularity vote (ie. who is the most popular member), and not necessarily find someone who would make a good/fair moderator. By all means though your welcome to air your views as to who you'd like to see as mod.

Moderating can be a rewarding job..but seven years? You'd need to be a sadist. Very Happy All the best..

Shame to hear you're stepping down Itsrobert; you did a great job at being moderator, seven years is certainly a commenadble time to serve. I'm glad to hear you're sticking around Cool

Hillary Clinton for moderator I say Wink

I can't imagine a more horrendous task than to officiate over TVF's bitching and squabbles for seven years.

Rob, you deserve a medal.
