Hi all,

It is with regret that I have to announce that Rob (itsrobert) has decided to step down from the moderating team. Rob was the first moderator I appointed at the site very early on – I didn’t have to think twice after his effort and enthusiasm supporting me with TV Home. Year after year he has been a stalwart of this site and it’s been very much appreciated.

I know the mass majority of members on here will join me in thanking Rob for his effort over the years and I’d like to think those who have been quite negative about his moderation in the past will still have the decency to realise the sheer effort he has put in over seven years.

Rob has only ever had the best interests of the site at heart and the place will be poorer without him as a mod.

A decision on the moderating team will be taken soon.

A shame - I haven't been hear for very long, but despite what others might say, I can tell he's always had what's best for the site in all his decisions. I hope you will still visit. All the best.

Well, this is a shame. However, I'd like to congratulate Rob on his service to the site, and it's obvious he's always had the site's best interests at heart. Which is very commendable.

Wow, it's going to be very odd without him modding. Seven years is an incredibly long time in Forum Land and big credit to him for all the hard work he's done over those years.

I think members should vote for a new mod thought because were all know how unhappy we were with the selection of Charlie Wells!

Thanks everyone. I've thanked Asa in private but publicly I would like to say that both he and Charlie Wells put a lot of effort into TV Forum - much more than they get recognition for - and I wish them the best of luck with the future.

I won't be leaving TV Forum - far from it. I'll still be a committed member just because I enjoy TV Presentation so much. It's a big part of my life and TV Forum helps me keep in touch with all the developments in the media world. Putting the arguments and fighting to one side, TV Forum remains the number one place to discuss TV Presentation and I still thoroughly enjoy visiting. I just feel that I can no longer shoulder the responsibility of being a full-time moderator. It does take a lot of time and effort and seven years worth, I think, is enough. I would not want to continue as a moderator only for my heart not to be in it. That would not be fair to Asa, Charlie, or indeed, the members.

So, thank you to those who have supported me over the years. I'm just going to sit back, relax and enjoy "retirement" now
