Cool It sounded as if back 10 years ago they had a wide range of programmes. Such as Cemedies, Dramas, Entertainement, Primetime news and Journalism (sorry if wrong spelling). Cool

Evil or Very Mad But now its, Soaps, more soaps.. dramas, often repeated too much. Junk Entertainement / Reality. No comedies or investigative programmes. Evil or Very Mad

Twisted Evil Wheres the need.. they really should think about what's happened over the years. Plus they need a really good shake-up Mad

..thats my views. Rolling Eyes

You can't beat a good cemedy. Wink

Time Traveller with Michael French throughout the summer months.

It was called Crime Traveller, and I miss that show. One of the few Saturday night dramas that I would watch, unlike Casualty, which is now a soap.

Of course they may drop it after one episode and replace it with a repeat of It'll Be Alright On The Night or a 23rd weekly episode of Emmerdale.

Recent episodes of Casualty have had more similarities to the original series than you might think. Clashes between medical staff and arrogant managers, staff being abused by violent patients and having to cope with problems at home as well as the demands of the job. The faces may be different and the "hospital" has undergone a mysterious facelift among other things, undergone a mysterious transformation, but a lot of Series 1 recurs in the present series.

Sounds more like real life at the NHS to me.

Yes, but the difference between Crime Traveller and Casualty was that Crime Traveller didn't run every week of the year. Which is why it's more of a soap, and the same goes for Holby City.

I remember ITV on Sunday evenings - now that has changed alot. In the mid-nineties we had regional programming, Surprise Surprise with Cilla or Schofield's Quest. Then of course they decided to air Corrie on Sunday nights along with Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Nowadays of course, we have Emmerdale filling the 7pm slot.

Does the Sunday edition of Emmerdale still contain a fake ad break with nothing but promos!

Never understood that really - Sunday is usually a pretty good night for ITV ratings wise and Emmerdale is one of it's flagship programmes!
