If you think having Christmas shows airing in July is crazy. Then ITV's karakoke show "Who Dares, Sings!" is a recording a Christmas special on 10th August.
Didn't Ant & Dec record a Christmas edition of Takeaway was it last year at the end of the sept - oct run before they went to do I'm A Celebrity, but the episode was never shown?
BUSINESS AND FINANCE: Dragons' Den
On: BBC 2 Midlands (2)
Date: Monday 21st July 2008 (starting in 8 days)
Time: 21:00 to 22:00 (1 hour long) VideoPlus: 1082
Christmas Special.
The multi-millionaire Dragon investors are back and at the top of their game. The Den proves to be an oasis of investment, but only for those entrepreneurs with the best business ideas and inventions. John Foster-Smith and Ros Adams invite the Dragons to get into bed with them, the Dragons chat with a talking tree, there's a machine that turns air into water, a non-slip travel cushion and a company that's aiming to transform the nations' gardens by brightening up the tired old garden fence.

On a slightly related note, why are some of the original captions poorly overlayed with comic sans rubbish?
Because some of the original shows, when they were scheduled to go out, were in the week of someone's birthday, or the artist has died, or something like that. I imagine when they took it over to Dave they removed anything topical....like "Happy Christmas" for example....
on paramount july is dedicated to christmas so you will expect a lot of xmas episodes of comedy.
Going on this note, I remember a few years ago that either May or August Bank Holiday The Disney Channel did an early Christmas showing a day's worth of Christmas specials.
I flicked onto QVC and Bid Up who today had Christmas Comes Early, complete with trees and Christmas music, I just had to turn it off just in case I put me to sleep and I woke up in a complete confusion.
I can also remember Christmas episodes of Neighbours airing in mid-spring over here!
Then there was the bomb scare at the BBC in early 1993 which saw a planned edition of Noel's House Party scrapped and the 1991 Noel's Christmas Presents screened in its place.
There is a way round this, though, for showing Christmas specials out of season. When LWT made It'll Be Alright on Christmas Night in 1987, they used two sets of titles - one for its original screening, and another set for its subsequent repeat showings as IBAOTN 5.
EDIT: I also remember the special to mark the 10th anniversary of Noel's Christmas Presents, "Unwrapped", airing on the August bank holiday in 1999.
The Big Breakfast used to do their Christmas pre-records in October/November so some of the live shows during those months had Christmas decorations up in the house.
Also, when Andy Crane did live in-vision continuity on Challenge TV and a Christmas episode of Family Fortunes came around he would have Christmas decorations up in the studio when he appeared during the ad-break.

Did this happen every year?
The only time i remember this happening is in 1999. I also remember Johnny saying that they were doing pre-records later on live on air that year.
