It wasn't bloody Murdoch. He owns a share of News International, which owns a share of BSkyB, which owned a share of Channel 3 News. So effectively he had rather small role to play. Anyway, Murdoch already has one interest in terrestrial telly... first one to tell me what it is wins a gold star.
All this means is that ITN's reputation will continue to fall until 2009. Lucky them... at least C3N didn't have a reputation to ruin.

Good. One less opportunity for evil Murdoch to take over the world has to be a good thing

C@t - is it Sky Five Text? (the Channel 5 Text service that generally calls itself 5 Text)

It is Five Text, but I'm not really prepared to give away my gold star. Sorry.
Murdoch isn't pure evil. He's an increadible businessman that's crafted the most successful satellite broadcaster on the planet, from the ground up. He has certainly made mistakes, and hasn't done wonders for The Times - although has for The Sun.
Not going to start a new topic about this, although doubtless someone else will. It's wonderful to see BBC correspondents in Kabul.
CNN had the Gulf War, Sky had Kosovo, and the BBC have Afghanistan? Looks like that's the way it's going to go.
