As I speak, the ITN NC is displaying a 'recorded earlier' caption and modified DOG. Does anyone know what is happening?

Alarm sounds on the studio floor during Five News - they have now come off air - but a good four or five minutes after the alarm sounds were first heard.

Could be a fire alarm or bomb alert at the ITN HQ?

Look out for the trailer of ITV news during This Morning's end credits, see what is happening. Could be interesting!

They're back.

ITN Lunchtime News ran as scheduled
ITN News Channel returned, with Alison Bell saying 'Welcome back' with the emphasis on 'back' and a glint in her eye!

Well ITV Lunchtime News goes ahead and ITN NEWS CHANNEL has returned but Alison Bell is having to operate graphics and reports. ITN Radio is still off.

ITV News trailer in this morning was OK.

ITV Lunchtime News seemingly unaffected (though I wonder if editing was disrupted...)

ITN News Channel came back just after the ITV Lunchtime News, though this was at a convenient junction in the recording. Alison Bell said 'Welcome Back' with a slight knowing inflection but no other comment was made.

It's quite funny seeing her operate the graphics and reports - especially when the report freezes and goes to black.

What exactly is she operating. She seems to be playing videos and the graphics next to her head, but what else?

She seems to be operating everything at the minute.

ITN Radio has returned with no mention of what happened.

I would rule out bomb alert as they were not off air long enough. Seems more like a fire alarm if anything.
