I watched Channel5 this morning @ 6 and saw the ITN News Channel was broadcasting the news. Why was this? Is this just a one off because of a technical problem at 5 news or is this permenant?
This is permanant now 5 News has re-launched as ITN 5 News. Every weekday from 6am-7am

I'm sure I read somewhere that 5's breakfast news programme viewing figures were plummeting to a dangerously low area, so it is much easier just to flick the switch and watch another channel for an hour!

Yep, every morning. The anno rather grandly announced Channel 5 will be joining the 'ITN News Channel' and nice clean opt-in at six (the white screen stayed on a little too long at the opt-out though). The newsreader 'welcomed viewers of Channel 5 to the channel'.
Good idea IMO - exposure for the ITN NC and a way of saving a bit of cash.
The newsreader on the afternoon update said join us for the new look, new time 5 News at 5.30 but there was absolutely no new look.
I notice it hasn't been rebranded ITN 5 News, just same old 5 News.

SubZero, I was hacked too. They only used my name though (removing an i) but not my sig - I think Billy Hicks' was used. I'm still furious though. I say we teach this hacker a lesson! Asa, find out the hackers' IP and ban it please?
