The last time (and first) I went there, they sold pencils, pens, and audio CDs. There were books as well but I can't remember much.
Oh, and you receive a free copy of the Radio Times for the London region. Great when you live in the North West, you might think, but the regional difference isn't that big anymore.
I went in mid-2005.

I remember the shop when they did the BBC Experience (what ever happened to that?) at Broadcasting house. I got a free Radio Times, pens, pencils, keyrings and a Walford Gazette newspaper (I was a big fan of EastEnders at the time!

It's in the foyer outside the cafe I think.

Bit off topic but are you allowed to take cameras on a TVC tour? I've been intending to go for a while but I've always wanted to take a camera.

When I was on the TV Centre tour in the Autumn last year the shop had BBC branded mugs, pens - the usual gift shop stuff.
I think photos were allowed - plenty of people were getting photos taken with the Tardis outside the entrance.
The tour itself was quite good - they showed us the studios (albeit from a window above) and a little talk from the news centre (I could swear I saw TVF's very own NickyS as well). Also showed us the big fountain and various other bits and bobs around TVC.
They also let us do a fake gameshow and a present a BBC News bulletin from a little room too. Couldn't resist being the presenter...

When I went to TVC last October, it was the usual fare, including BBC branded DVD's.
