'It should'nt happen to a royal reporter' is on ITV1 at the moment

Andrew Simmons is one of the people being interviewed. Have to say, he's a lot more relaxed and friendly than on News 24, good on him.

It seems the 'shouldnt happen to..' brand goes on forever and ever.

Anyone watching?

You can always guarantee that whenever ITV put out a "It shouldn't happen to....." programme there will be a thread about it. Always seems to make for good viewing.

Poor Nicholas Owen, he reckons he won't get the OBE after that Prince Philip interview. What a gastly man Prince Phillip is. But Nick can recommend a place to buy a ladder in Kuwait City. Laughing

yeah - very good contribution by bill neely, nicholas owen, andrew simmonds, simon mccoy and jenny bond. shame jenny finishes next month.

i do like these programs, the newscaster one was very good. iirc alistair stewart was showing us how the desk works - with the computers & monitors. i wish itv2 would repeat it.

Sorry to come off topic... but can I ask what is on the red LED screens above the monitors? Confused http://www.aoqy44.dsl.pipex.com/skynews1.jpg

Looks like they were talking to Simon during Sky News Today judging by the camera crew in the background.

That also applies to Bill Neely

And Nicholas Owen is as entertaining as ever

This seems to be very different to the other "It Shouldn't Happen" shows. It's not in an Alright on the Night style and not split into segments. It just seems to be reporters reviewing covering the event. I think it probably should be "It Shouldn't Happen to a Royal".

I noticed that too, there was no behind the scenes segment that there usually is sandwiched inbetween the clips. If you dont know what I mean on the newsreaders programme it followed Alistair Stewart and London Tonight, the weather programme followed Chrissy (Ried?) in her training as an ITV weather forcaster.

Yes, he was briefly. Has he done much royal reporting?

I only managed to catch the second half of the programme, though however ridiculous the programme might have sound, it was infact very good, though as you say it is different than the other one's which have been shown, especially with the behind the scenes

Childrens Presenter - BTS of SM:tv Live (Ant and Dec era) and BTS of finding two new presenters for CITV
Quiz Show host - BTS of Family Fortunes, BTS of Countdown
Weather Presenter - BTS of ITV Weather and Chrissy Reidy training
Soap Actor - BTS of Crossroads and Coronation Street

Though many more of these programmes have been made, and it is a shame they don't repeat them more often.
