Wondered how long it would take - I see 'A question of Sport' has a 'QS Live' DOG/BUG in the top left hand corner - wondered how long it would take the BBC Choice 'DOG on every programme' to travel. Quick, write in to POV before the Beeb think it's acceptable!

Roll on the match...

I wouldn't worry too much - I think they're just emphasizing the fact that tonight's programme is a special live edition!

Call me cynical Mark but I think they're testing the waters to see how many complaints there would be.

I assumed they put it up to tell viewers the show was live so that if they swore by mistake or something went wrong the viewers would know it's live, and rather than just say live they stuck the logo next to it.

But you're probably right...!

Asa you are probably right.

the BBc tried putting DOG's on all its digital services when they launched, but had to withdraw them because of the uproar.

However there is nothing the BBC Branding department would like more than to get DOG's back on every channel, and will take every oppotunity to creep them back in.

I don't mind dogs on certain programmes like the news, weather etc, but I would hate them to be on something like EastEnders and other programmes like that. It really would be annoying and out of place.

Watching a programme the other morning on BBC2 and the BBC2 DOG appeared in the top left of the screen for about 5 minutes and then dissappeared, I;m with you Asa the BBC must be testing the water.
