A question about the World music. As its so long, does it have a slow version of the headline bed before the start of the 'ident' - at about 50 secs in, the ident starts. Also, what does it look like on screen - the video which accompanies the tune?

NickyS, what do you mean by
'The overnight newsteam enjoyed the other sounds on the site - brought back lots of memories for some people on shift!'?

Well it was 0245 in the morning and I was listening to the MP3 to see if it was the 'death' music and checked out James' other sounds ... our team is very varied and it brought back memories for some who had worked on Breakfast News or the One O'Clock News when it had the old themes. TVHome is now a very popular read at work!!!
As to what the special titles look like - from memoryand I haven't seen them for a while they are more 'purple' in colour that red .. but as I say it's a while since I've seen them and they may have changed.

Can you remember - does it look like the BBC World News ident, i.e. globe with that funny shape moving around it?

Excellent, absolutely excellent!!
A big well done James. I'm sure I speak for everyone on this forum!

Feel free to plug your site *whenever* you want to!!

Any yes, the URL won't work with spaces unless you put %20 (that's percentage, two, zero) instead of a 'space'. Then it'll work fine. Hopefully that'll be another bug that'll be ironed out when the new version of this board becomes available.

Cheers,
Asa

Asa, are you refering to the BBC World Special sound or the fact that Isonstine TV has over 1000 hits? I must say the BBC World tune is great - I've never heard that before - has it ever been used on BBC World?

JAMES - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! 1027 hits!!! Its suprising how popular these full version BBC sounds are!

Well done james. it just proves how popular and worthwhile these sites are. I see even BBC News staff make TV Home and ISONSTINE a daily stopping point. i just wanted to know do the BBC have any other sorts of special music that they use for different events?
