Does anyone know if this tv is video game "safe"? It's just a 52" from wal-mart. I have seen it but I was wondering if anyone knew if it was DLP or LCD. Confused:

I think, if you were to play 1 game for a long period of time, or even more than a few times a week it may suffer from screen burn. It's a projection TV also so view's from an angle will be poor.

Screen burn is far less of an issue with DLP and LCD - the main rear-pro technologies for HD - than it is with CRT rear pros, or plasma direct views.

LCDs DO in very extreme cases suffer from something a bit like burn-in - but it takes a LOT longer to happen, and is more reversible I believe.

Don't the bulbs for Projection tellys cost around £300 each?

Damn noggin said my line. Wink
Anyways, DLP's are not prone to screenburn because it uses mirrors, www.dlp.com

DLP and LCD projectors use bulbs that need replacing - and these can cost more than £300 each. CRT projectors don't use bulbs - so they don't have the same running costs.
