There the same as before. I would imagine the same opening titles have been retained.
Graphics look poor...

They're using the HD studio but they're not broadcasting in HD. They are supposed to start broadcasting in HD before The Rugby world Cup in Autumn 2015 but until it happens I won't believe it. They're not at all happy about the fees they Pay Saorview to transmit the signal. If they move from SD to HD they'll turn from profit to loss, and we're not even talking about their long term debts.
I wouldn't be certain they'll be around in 12 months.

Not much new news other than Pat joining The UTV team. There will be Ireland Live at 6 for half an hour as well as 10. The real shock is when you realise TV3 have almost nothing left to show. They even have Graham Norton because it's an ITV Studios production. TV3 need an extra 30 hours a week of programmes for between 6 and 12 midnight, not entirely sure where they're going to get it all.

They will still have Tuesday night Champions League and Thursday night Europa League until the end of the season, particularly important if UTV NI is removed from cable when UTV Ireland starts (says I in the same breath as switching on UTV to watch the Arsenal match in HD, which TV3 don't yet do)

I don't think TV3 will close, but it will have its work cut out. It's lost a lot of key shows, but if the planned early evening magazine and soap work out, it's still in with a chance. It's market share is bound to suffer, but I think it will likely draw a similar audience to UTV.
Personally I think UTV's Irish output is a bit underwhelming, but only time will tell.
TV3 will probably close soon. UTV Ireland is the future.
