The show needs a new host. I do not think many will doubt that?

I've just seen the set as a work in progress on the 6.1. It is not much to write home about really. While looking at it on the news it is as basic as you can get so far given the constraints with the size of the stage of Central Hall in Westminster. It wasn't that they were going to bring over the entire set fitted to Studio 4 in Montrose over to the venue in London as that would have been nonsensical for practicality reasons. They are going to personalize it with some London quirks. A red telephone box will be included in the set for tonight's show. A big personalized Late Late Show sign included with a London twist is displayed over the audience seats.

Apparently they overbooked the audience and are having to turn away people. What a big blow if anyone booked a hotel and travel and to finish it out you can't even watch it in London on the tele!

Audiences are always overbooked to avoid any empty seats. That's why tickets are free. Also they were advertised to people "who are going to be in London on 12th October" rather than encouraging people to go to great expense.

I managed to catch a bit with Graham Norton and thought he made a great guest. Made a cheeky comment about his mother "probably switching over to watch me in a bit".

I saw some clips on YouTube of him as a guest with Stephen Colbert, on to plug his book, and he came across well

Apart from Graham Norton, there was not much great about the show. A total waste of time and money by RTE. I watched it on the RTE Player, and I thought there was nothing special about it. Why bother. A normal Late Late but in London, with the usual lack lustre line up.

Dragging in Nigel Farage and Alistair Campbell, wow that is a great pull for audiences. Graham mentioned that his mother would probably be switching over to see him after his appearance with Tubridy was over, and I think he was speaking about the majority of the audience too.

Aw and you had such high hopes for it.

No I didn't, felt it was a waste of time. But, hey ho, if the Irish viewers enjoyed it, so be it.

And you’re not much good at spotting sarcasm either 😂

You made it clear you don't rate the host, or the decision to broadcast from London, or some of the guests chosen for the show.

Quite what you were expecting to enjoy is anyone's guess.

Wasn't Eamonn Holmes supposed to be on the show? Joe.ie said he would be on but he wasn't.
