3 seconds in you can definitely see it retains the RTÉ 2fm name. Just some new logo.

That is a very 80's/90's looking logo!

Very well spotted that though, most people that have seen the trailer (including myself!) have missed that one! FM back in capitals.

I didn't miss it. I don't think anyone else did. But people are taking from it that the RTÉ and FM quickly disappear after appearing beside the new logo that it means the station may be breaking off from RTÉ branding.

Then they are reading too much into it I think.

The new logo is now on their Twitter feed, still reading "RTE 2FM".

RTE News Now finally joins Sky in Ireland not that anyone will have noticed given its been given channel 578.

Is it available outside Ireland? I think the online stream of News Now isn't geolocked.

It doesn't work via add channels in the UK, but it's definitely on Astra with listings.
