Very white/grey though. I know minimalist is the trend in websites these days, but it seems to be lacking any colour now.

Alas, the regular Late Late Show intro is virtually the same as last year (some of the celebrities may have changed).

Covid-related or not, but the house band (The Camemberet Quartet aka the Late Late Show Band) definitely seems to have bit the dust

A shame but here's hoping we get a band for next year's series. If RTÉ can hire a new one.

No wonder RTE gets so much lashing and stick from Irish viewers, they never understand the power of the original opening titles and music from the Gay Byrne era. You will notice they are happy to wheel it out when it pleases them, to entice viewers, and then dump it back into the archive at Montrose. Pathetic.

A bit of a post script to the above discussion - use of the 2009 Brian Byrne arrangement of “To Whom it Concerns” was completely dropped tonight in favour of the original arrangement.

A new promo for The Den has come up on RTÉ One for it's return on Sunday evening. I can't find it online yet unfortunately.

Dustin The Turkey has posted a front cover photo of the RTE Guide on his twitter.

Also; Dustin also reminded me on Twitter that it was 1 year last Wednesday since Gay Byrne had died of cancer.

Breaking: Dustin, Zig & Zag have just put out an intro with the CA for The Late Late Show on RTÉ One.

I wonder how Gay Byrne would have managed hosting The Late Late Show during this pandemic? Would he be more reassuring to the Irish viewers than the current host, "a bookmark with feet" as Dustin the Turkey described Ryan Tubridy.
UKnews and bkman1990 gave kudos

The Den has gone off to a great start this evening. It's got brand new short titles & a new blue coloured space aged type of set to start off the show. It does not have the set which was shown for RTÉ Does Comic Relief segment earlier this year.
