A shame but here's hoping we get a band for next year's series. If RTÉ can hire a new one.
Alas, the regular Late Late Show intro is virtually the same as last year (some of the celebrities may have changed).
Covid-related or not, but the house band (The Camemberet Quartet aka the Late Late Show Band) definitely seems to have bit the dust

No wonder RTE gets so much lashing and stick from Irish viewers, they never understand the power of the original opening titles and music from the Gay Byrne era. You will notice they are happy to wheel it out when it pleases them, to entice viewers, and then dump it back into the archive at Montrose. Pathetic.

A new promo for The Den has come up on RTÉ One for it's return on Sunday evening. I can't find it online yet unfortunately.
Dustin The Turkey has posted a front cover photo of the RTE Guide on his twitter.
Also; Dustin also reminded me on Twitter that it was 1 year last Wednesday since Gay Byrne had died of cancer.

Gone a year ago today....greatest (human) broadcaster ever to grace our screens.
