So far there has only been one very basic ident with a matching break bumper. It features the outline of TV3 logo in purple neon in a TV Studio. As the camera pans out it reveals the 'We Entertain' slogan from behind the 3. Matching trailer endboard are also located in a studio with animated purple lines.
No doubt to coincide with Red Rock, the new soap/police drama which debuts tonight. TV3 haven't a great record in the scripted programming area (they've done very little of it) and the success of Love/Hate seems to have influnced it's development - it started life as a conventional soap but someone along the way seems to have thought that making it a PG version of Love/Hate (which is post-watershed and quite violent) would be an idea. I have a feeling it may fall between two stools as a result.
Still the same ident repeating on all junctions tonight. As the idents duration is only 10 seconds the last 2 announcements have overlapped into programming by about 3 - 5 seconds.
Brand new look for the Late Late Show last night, the first changes since Ryan Tuburdy's first show back in 2009, and the first time in living memory that the show has changed looks mid-season. New title sequence and a new set, radically different than what came before, looking like a living room. Theme arrangement remains essentially the same.

I recall a number of years back that RTE announced a 15-year building replacement programme, during which their existing buildings and studio complexes would be replaced by new facilities on the same site. I don't believe I've heard any news on that. Their studios look so small and outdated by today's standards. Is Studio 4 still their largest studio? It may have looked passable in the mid-90s when 'The Late Late Show' moved in but now it looks rather small and cosy for their flagship entertainment show (as well as 'The Saturday Night Show').
They must've added in some extra capacity in recent years? I'm just curious if any of the 'new' studio facilties have already been brought into use. Sport seems to have dedicated use of at least one studio these days. And am I right in thinking that the Prime Time set is a permanent fixture in one of their 'Stage' buildings?
I seen the 1st Million Euro Challenge on RTE One HD last night. I didn't like any of it at all, it was absolutely appalling television.
I don't think I have ever seen a gameshow that was this bad in years. The format was mundane and very boring for the contestants involved. The atmosphere from the new show was completely dead from start to finish. It is extremely difficult to even win any money on it even though the winnings would be very small as the game show progresses to it's conclusion.
It makes Winning Streak look good IMO. RTE and the National Lottery either way have ultimately made a horrendous decision to put Winning Streak on it's own as a Summer show. It does not look right at all. This show only strengthens the popularity and credibility of Winning Streak even further as a staple format.
This Million Euro Challenge scam is going fail big time as it goes through the 1st half of 2015. I can see that the ticket sales are going to plummet even further when it will eventually gets scrapped altogether.
