Only the idents - cropped and with the logo animation replaced - remain from the 2006 RTÉ One look, everything else was completely changed in January 2014. Even that is a long time for a channel that once rebranded every three years like clockwork. While it’s long overdue a revamp now isn’t really the time for it.

RTÉ2 is a mess, and has been from the day that it rebranded, but again now isn’t the time for a change.

RTÉ 1's endboards would look great for RTÉ 2 if they were flipped and coloured green. Would also bring some sort of familiarity and harmony across the brand.

Forget about a rebrand - RTE One needs a complete overhaul of its schedule. It is dire. Once that has happened, then they can start on a new look and idents, because if they simply rebrand and not overhaul the tired schedule they currently have, it is simply papering over the cracks.

Safe to say that now isn't the time to replace Oneness, either.

They did replace Oneness though... with a new set of Oneness idents that don't show everyone in the same place.
