Last nights Late Late opener. Miriam did a fantastic job. I’m sure they’ll be onto her when Ryan steps down!

I doubt it, She'll be close to 70 before Ryan even starts thinking of leaving. She's 60 now.

It's Claire Byrne's gig once Tubridy goes in my opinion.

Ryan Tubridy has announced that he had tested positive for the Coronavirus. He says he is over the worst and hopes to be back at work soon. Oliver Callan will continue to present his radio show and a decision has yet to be made about who’ll host the Late Late Show this week. Get well soon Ryan!

A new TV programme called Ireland on Call is to begin from RTÉ early next week. It is a new programme which will give people live updates on the progress of Coronavirus in Ireland. It will be hosted by Katie Hannon & Brendan Courtney. It will be broadcast every Tuesday & Thursday evening at 7pm on RTÉ One. Promos have appeared for the new programme on RTÉ One this evening.

It’s actually already aired, the first episode on Thursday at 7pm. It’s less a news programme and more an extended PSA sort of thing.

And broadcasting live from the top floor of the department of health complete with stunning views of Dublin. Really a stunning backdrop.

Today with Maura & Daithi is taking place right now on RTÉ2.

A RTÉ News special is now being broadcast on RTÉ One with Sharon Ní Bheolain with a live press conference on Coronavirus from An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, Minister for Health Simon Harris, Minister for Education Joe McHugh & Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tony Holohan. The correspondents in studio 3 are George Lee & Emma O'Kelly.

An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar is now speaking from the Government Press Centre.

The on-screen graphics during the RTÉ One news special were far too minimal, considering the amount of information being delivered. Usually, RTÉ News Now has the opposite problem - excessive and cluttered. They should invest in a graphics system for events like this. They handle election results very well.

Great to have seen Ryan back on The Late Late Show on Friday night. Hopefully he is in full health again!
