Don’t have a copy of a new ident, sorry!

Also confirmed the end of Red Rock and a new thriller from the creator of Derry Girls.

Random question but how original are the ads on Irish TV? Do they just revoice many UK ads for non-Irish companies?

Most of them are original. For example, the Tesco adverts shown in Ireland are completely different to the ones shown in the UK.

Well they have to be, as prices are in €uros and products are different to the UK.

And I bet everyone still calls it TV3.
TVLand, JetixFann450 and DeMarkay gave kudos

A lot of people say "Virgin Media Three" when they're actually referring to "Virgin Media One". They're terrible names for channels.

Doesn't matter which of the 3 Virgin channels they tune in to, they all show the same sh*te just at different times.

A lot of people do. I hear a lot of people just calling it “Virgin”. The bigger problem is they chose a name that is so long that different people use different shorthand to refer to the channel - this even extends to EPGs, where for example it is “Virgin One” on Sky.

A few days ago a presenter said "...here on Virgin Media Television". It's extremely clunky.

Why not VM One, VM Two and VM Three? Short and sweet?

Apparently they have to use the full “Virgin Media” name under the terms of their licensing deal.
