I noticed that Up for the Match got itself a new logo & theme music in the lead up to the All Ireland Hurling Final on Saturday of last week. Also Grianne Seoige is not presenting it anymore with Des Cahill after being host for 11 years. Her new replacement is Jacqui Hurley. She will be there to host it again on the night before the Football final between Dublin & Kerry.

A snippet of the new logo can be seen here on this Twitter video.

The Rose of Tralee has received new titles, music & a refreshed onstage set for it's 60th anniversary this year.

I believe the new theme music does not include music from the song The Rose of Tralee. It's been given a brand new theme tune.

Although; some people in Ireland have been reported by an Irish print media outlet online who said that the new titles are 'creepy'.

^^ There's a video on the bottom of the article showing the new revamped stage set ^^

I don't know what opinion is relevant to say for myself. I believe that if the titles for the Rose of Tralee are nice & different. They are probably not to scare the audiences away from watching the festival on RTÉ One. The blues, purples & pinks featured in the new look are giving it a modern & fresh feel to the TV coverage of the festival probably to entice younger audiences to watch the show.

And what delights are they going to inflict on the Irish television viewer for 2019-2020 season?

Nobody in Ireland called them that, ever, until TV3 suddenly started doing so a few years ago.

I just saw a promotion on Virgin Media One's Twitter account for the National Television Awards 2019 to air at 9.00pm on Friday - Come On!! Your having a laugh Virgin Media - the awards was held way back in January 2019, and you are only airing it now in Ireland?

I think I have the answer to Do Virgin Media Ireland care what they show on their channels? Answer: No. And I thought RTE One were bad at schedules.

I love this BS from their "Upfronts" - Virgin Media Ireland say "We've more news programming than any other Irish broadcaster" - Really?

RTE News surely does more on television and radio, including a rolling news channel (albeit re-runs of RTE One news programming mostly), RTE Radio 1, 2FM, Lyric FM and Radio na Gael news coverage, and of course RTE News online, which is 100% better than the pure 0% effort put in by Virgin Media Ireland TV on their news website, which is just uploaded news bulletins, and no written articles whatsoever.

I have to give Virgin Media Ireland credit for having the balls to BS their way through these "Upfronts" - they have been taking lessons from President Trump I am sure - "believe me".

"Sport Tonight" - Virgin Media Ireland say it is a brand new show for this autumn, surely it is just a rehash of Sports Tonight which TV3 used to air nightly from 1998 when they started? - Original idea???

The NTA’s first aired the day after the actual event but they’ve been showing it as a repeat throughout the year. I’ve seen the ad your on about and they do make it seem like it’s the first time they’ve shown it, bound to confuse some people.

The irony is that Virgin Media never showed the awards live like ITV did in the UK, but they have been shown at least 5 or 6 times since.
