Well admittedly they're subject to change. But it's much what will happen - where the games are very uncertain, the website lists it as "TBC" so the ones that are shown as ITV1 or ITV2 are very likely to be broadcast that way.
That has to be a contender for the worst on screen score graphic that ITV are using for the Rugby World Cup highlights. An over elongated i t v stretched over the score box, with the score box in dark blue, not even opaque, are they covering up the official graphics or something ?

It's awful.
Well the highlights footage that HTV and UTV use doesn't have the silly stretchy itv Sport above the box. Where the 'itv' is it just says '1st' or '2nd' in a dark blue box, and instead of 'SPORT' there's the clock in green. Does the ITV England highlights coverage not feature a clock at all then?
ITV keep plugging the website all the time though I notice, and it's even on panels in the studio -- for once HTV don't seem to be so keen.
UTV plug the official rugbyworldcup.com site instead, and only feature the ITV branding at the very end on the website plug after the sponsorship. They also have their own semi-opaque dog top-right.
UTV plug the official rugbyworldcup.com site instead, .
I'm sure thats not allowed? Advertising an external site during a programme??
I mean to say, the rugbyworldcup.com is featured on their graphics [except at the very end], rather than the itv.com/wrc that ITV1 has. They may, on the other hand, actually be plugging the official site verbally, but I've not watched a *whole* UTV highlights programme.
I don't see why they'd have to plug the ITV site, since they're not part of ITV and the whole coverage is a UTV Sport production.
The HTV studio is broadly similar to the ITV one but a little lower budget, and the UTV one is basically the news studio with some rugby images keyed in behind. If you're interested, there are some caps on the last page of the Wales Thread.
As we are aware the "nations" are providing their own coverage of matches to its viewers and yesterday HTV provided their own coverage that was seperate to that of ITV 1. I actually missed HTV's coverage as I was away in the North of England and therefore watched the ITV coverage of the game. ITV 1 had Mark Robson (I think that was his name) and Jamie Salmon (I think I've spelt his sir name wrong but it sounds like the fish). I'm completly guessing now, but I'd imagine HTV would've had Bob Symmonds commentating. However when I watched the highlights programme on ITV 2 later in the evening, ITV 2 had Bob Symmonds providing the commentary. I would've thought ITV2 would have used the same commentary that ITV 1 used. Anyone know why this was the case. With no disrespect to Mark Robson, as I like him as a commentator,in my opinion Bob Symmonds is very good commentator and is under used by ITV. He's been providing rugby commentary for HTV since HTV's early days. (IIRC during the 80's he was either head of news or news editor or something similar for HTV), and provided the commentary for all those southern hemisphere matches that ITV used to show on Saturday afternoons during the late 80's.
Just another quick question. If Bob Symmonds did do the commentary, did he do it solo (witch the ITV 2 package suggested) or did he have a co-comentator with him. If so who?

No, HTV Wales used the same commentary as ITV1 England, just different presentation. Didn't see ITV2, was Symonds commentating or just doing a voice over - I saw him doing that on Saturday. Can't say I'm too keen on Bob, but would like to hear Gerald Davies on ITV again, instead of S4C.
Why have we got a highlights programme following the live game today at 3.15pm. The highlights show is showing the highights of the game ITV have just shown. Odd scheduling that.

ITV are committed to mid-afternoon highlights at weekends, so with The Goal Rush at 4.15pm it was the only slot available. There are also highlights at midnight, plus a re-run on the ITV News Channel at 5.35pm.

It's Ireland's second match this morning - this time live on ITV1 and UTV are doing the same. Studio inserts as mentioned above, network commentary and a very irritating non-opaque UTV dog in the top right hand corner. I'd thought its appearance last weekend was to obscure the ITV2 DOG (since UTV repeated the full match on Saturday afternoon) but obviously not!
The ITVNC are replaying England's World Cup match from yesterday at the moment. The titles were played out with an ITV2 logo in the top right hand corner, couldn't they have got a clean copy of the titles?
