So over in New Zealand, SKY NZ recently signed a sponsorship deal with Wellington's currently-named Westpac Stadium, and with that, the stadium is to be renamed as the Sky Stadium from January 2020.
Also SKY NZ will be debuting a new logo and rebranding its services with it soon.

Somehow it looks very similar to the original Sky UK logo before 2009.

About time, their current logo looks like something from the 1980s, even though it actually only dates from 2013. In fact it’s like someone took the original Sky Channel logo from 1985, flattened it, italicised it, and stuck it in a triangle. (The one pre-2013, which I think actually is from the 1980s, looks even more like the original Sky Channel logo).

Edit: here’s an article about the 2013 logo when it was introduced, and which features the original logo as a before and after.

Mind you, I’m not saying this is a great logo either, and it’s clearly inspired by the Sky plc logo.

Yeah, it does look a bit like they italic-ised the 2000 UK logo and straightened the Y.
Do you even read these?

Wow, that’s awful. It’s like they’ve tried to merge their previous logo with the Sky UK logo and got that monstrosity.
