They have one for Corrie as well which im getting. Im also getting the Family Fortunes one but havent got them yet.

I've been told the old Family Fortunes one was crap, you had to do it all on paper and they didn't even include a pen or pencil.

Not sure about the new Vernon Kay version though.

Its the one with Vernon Kay that im having. Years ago I had a FF board game and a countdown board game which were good but ive gone off countdown since then so doubt i'll get the DVD game.

I had no idea there was a Corrie game until my sister texted me and said she saw it in Argos and asking if I had it. I assume she is getting it for Xmas for me and then I can beat her at it as I know more about Corrie than her lol.

There's a Play Your Cards Right game, but no mention of Brucie.

This has to be one of the more bizarre offerings :

I've only got the Deal or No Deal one. It's good in that it uses the real set, real contestants who played on the show, and a real Noel Edmonds, although it is rather slow to play.

Does Noel call a break and then you have to sit through 3 mins of adverts for other DVD games! Laughing

The new Bullseye game is much better than the old one, the dart throwing is alot more accurate so the thing is actually playable. Only downer is that the questions are too easy.

Strike it Lucky is brilliant, it's VERY close to the original show and even has all the proper sound effects and music cues. The only real difference is that you bank question categories instead of prizes, you then have to choose one of the banked categories for the main Strike it Lucky question at the end of the row.

Actually, the Deal Or No Deal Game is good. The only problem is you always have to have box number 5. That part gets on my nerves.

Bought Blockbusters yesterday.

It deviates a fair bit from the real show. The players take it in turns to answer the questions (so no buzzing in, which is a shame because it worked on Catchphrase), and you don't get to choose the hexagons - the DVD does that for you, which is annoying as it takes silly routes across the board (and makes no attempt to "block" the other player).

The Gold Run also deviates, there's no timer, instead you get 3 lives. The most annoying thing about it is that if you get a question wrong, instead of deleting that hexagon and forcing you to take another route, you just get asked a question from the same one (and like the main game, you can't choose your own route).

Add to this, Bob Holness doesn't appear in-vision, but it's understandable as he's been ill recently.

It's a disappointment, but it's still playable as a quiz.

The trouble is that you play them once, maybe twice and then they get very boring.

Also, I hate the DVD games that you have to use pen and paper to play them!!
Also, at approx £15.99 each, their very expensive. Maybe wait till after Xmas.

Last year, Anne Robinsons test the nation was £15.99 at xmas, then 6 months later, I've seen it for £1.97.

If your only going to play it once, get it when it’s reduced, or get it on eBay.

That's what I'm doing with them, there are a few that look good, but I don't want to pay £14.99 and be disappointed and spent a waste of money. Come December 26th they'll be reduced, ISTR it was the same last Christmas. I wouldn't mind getting the new Bullseye, Saint & Greavsie, Blockbusters, there's loads.
